what is ftp

FTP is an acronym for File Transfer Protocol.

It is a TCP / IP protocol that allows data transfer between two computer systems. If FTP is installed on a PC or personal computer and a microcomputer, then these two different types of computers will be able to transmit data. This means that one type of computer is able to communicate with another type of computer for the benefit of FTP.
