Ethernet network is the networking process performed with the help of Ethernet card and cable under local area network. It is a joint venture between Intel, Xerox and Digital Equipment Corporation. This network is usually built using a single bus or trunk using bus linear topology. In this network, a transmission wave, like a radio wave, is used for data transmission. The typical Ethernet transmission speed is 10 megabytes per second.
