Dongle is a copy protection device. This type of dongle device is used for copy protection of any valuable software. It looks like a memory stick, which can be connected to a computer's USB or parallel port. It has an encryption key inside, which allows the copy protected software to run. Note that the dongle that is used for copy protection of the software will not run without the dongle.
