how to page number in excel
Here's how to put a page number into a Microsoft Excel file:
1. First, open the required Excel file, then click Insert from the menu bar.
2. Click Header & Footer. Or click Text then click Header & Footer.
3. Now the Excel program will show in the page layout view. In the top left, middle and right of the page where you want to give the page number, click the mouse.
4. Click on the Page Number option in the Design tab at the top. Then the page number will show. A lot of times # can show such a hash sign, there is no problem, if you go to the print view you will see the page number is showing correctly.
5. Now click on the page. If you want to give the page number at the bottom of the page, scroll the mouse wheel, that is, turn and come to the bottom of the page. Click the mouse on the left, center or right where you want to enter the page number in the same way as above.
6. As before, click on the Design tab at the top and click on the Page Number option. Then click the mouse inside the page.
7. To return to normal from page layout view, click View menu then click Normal. Or mouse over the Normal icon in the status bar at the bottom of the screen.
